busy....busy...busy...

I had been awfully busy these days with thesis work to be done and the upcoming defense this Thursday. My brain was like out of my head...hahaha...if it was the case, I wouldn't have completed my thesis...The truth was I was so mentally tired for shedding all the knowledge I could for the thesis. I am not complaining but the reality is like that. Anyways, the work is completed but the defense is another headache. Though I am ready for it but I might not be ready for the unheard questions out of my field or knowledge. But anwyays, wish me luck...

The Children's Bible in a Nutshell

A friend of mine forwarded this wonderful message to me and I found this to be so delightful so I would like to share it with you all. Hope it makes you smile and will brighten your day.

Through the eyes of a child:

The Children's Bible in a Nutshell

In the beginning, which occurred near the start, there was nothing but God, darkness, and some gas. The Bible says, 'The Lord thy God is one, but I think He must be a lot older than that.

Anyway, God said, 'Give me a light!' and someone did.

Then God made the world.

He split the Adam and made Eve. Adam and Eve were naked, but they weren't embarrassed because mirrors hadn't been invented yet.

Adam and Eve disobeyed God by eating one bad apple, so they were driven from the Garden of Eden.

Not sure what they were driven in though, because they didn't have cars.

Adam and Eve had a son, Cain, who hated his brother as long as he was Abel.

Pretty soon a ll of the early people died off, except for Methuselah, who lived to be like a million or something.

One of the next important people was Noah, who was a good guy, but one of his kids was kind of a Ham. Noah built a large boat and put his family and some animals on it. He asked some other people to join him, but they said they would have to take a rain check.

After Noah came Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Jacob was more famous than his brother, Esau, because Esau sold Jacob his birthmark in exchange for some pot roast. Jacob had a son named Joseph who wore a really loud sports coat.

Another important Bible guy is Moses, whose real name was Charlton Heston. Moses led the Israel Lights out of Egypt Pharaoh's people. These plagues included frogs, mice, lice, bowels, and no cable.

God fed the Israel Lights every day with manicotti. Then he gave them His Top Ten Commandments.

These include: don't lie, cheat, smoke, dance, or covet your neighbor's stuff.

Oh, yeah, I just thought of one more: Humor thy father and thy mother.

One of Moses' best helpers was Joshua who was the first Bible guy to use spies. Joshua fought the battle of Geritol and the fence fell over on the town.

After Joshua came David. He got to be king by killing a giant with a slingshot. He had a son named Solomon who had about 300 wives and 500 porcupines. My teacher says he was wise, but that doesn't sound very wise to me.
After Solomon there were a bunch of major league prophets.

One of these was Jonah, who was swallowed by a big whale and then barfed up on the shore. There were also some minor league prophets, but I guess we don't have to worry about them.

After the Old Testament came the New Testament. Jesus is the star of The New. He was born in Bethlehem in a barn. (I wish I had been born in a barn too, because my mom is always saying to me, 'Close the door! Were you born in a barn?' It would be nice to say, 'As a matter of fact, I was.')

During His life, Jesus had many arguments with sinners like the Pharisees and the Democrats.

Jesus also had twelve opossums.

The worst one was Judas Asparagus. Judas was so evil that they named a terrible vegetable after him.

Jesus was a great man. He healed many leopards and even preached to some Germans on the Mount.

But the Democrats and all those guys put Jesus on trial before Pontius the Pilot. Pilot didn't stick up for Jesus. He just washed his hands instead.

Anyways, Jesus died for our sins, then came back to life again.

He went up to Heaven but will be back at the end of the Aluminum. His return is foretold in the book of Revolution.

You must share this delightful story!

No chapatis!

It was already planned that today was the day I would have an opportunity to eat African chapatis for lunch made by my African friend. But sad to say that it turned out to be otherwise. It was a mad sad Sunday. My African's friend was invited to make this so-called chapatis when she came to his house just to say that she would be back again. Because of that we were waiting patiently only to realize that she had gone for more than an hour and our stomachs started to have a strike of hunger. She never showed up again after she made that promise. We all were so starving.

To cut the story short, another sweet friend came to visit the house and we both started to cook. Since this house belongs to our friend's house and we were not that accustomed to the cooking utensils there, we were kind of improvise whatever we saw in front of our eyes. Finally, we were able to have a very late lunch-supper at 5.30 pm. You can skip lunch but not breakfast or supper-dinner. If you did not have enough breakfast surely you would need a good lunch. In my case today, I did not have lunch but instead I had a very late lunch-supper.

What an experience yaaa....I am not sure when will I be able to eat proper African chapatis. These chapatis are not the typical Indian chapatis, there are totally different that the Indians. And I am too keen to have them...cos there are tastier that the Indians....

Happy Raya to all Muslims!

I would like to wish all the Muslims around the world a happy Raya festival. Blessing to you all.

I miss celebrating this occasion once again this year. I wish by next year I will be able to eat Raya cookies and etc..etc..

But please be reminded to drive safely while on the road and don't eat too much...hehe...

Fresh Daund

I had been at a place called Daund for this whole week. This was my second time visiting to this fresh and green village. I accompanied a friend who was doing practicum so I took a chance to get away from the city of Pune for a while. This village is a perfect get-away from the hustle bustle of city life and I was glad I decided to do down there.

Hot Sunday

What a sunny Sunday it was! The weather keeps changing. It had been raining these days but at a later day it turned out to be warm and hot. Today, it was warm and later in the late evening it was cloudy with a bit drizzles.

Life is busy even after the observations sessions at the Spicer School. In fact, life is even busier with the comprehensive exam preparation plus the research project...when can I breath properly??? There will be a great joy after all these busyness. But that's life after all...

On the other side of the busyness, I am enjoying my singleness. Yes, Lollie. I am single! Sorry to disappoint you but life sometimes has its twists and turns. When the purpose of having a significant one is insignificant, it can't take us anywhere near happiness. Unfortunately, that was the twist of my life so far. I am waiting for this twist to turn into something meaningful. I am happy that I am what I am right now. Don't misunderstand me, I still believe in love but time will show when it is the right time for me to fall in love again. There is no rush.

Observations session - Day 5 (Last day)

Finally, it came to the end of my observations session today after five days sitting in the classrooms observing the selected teachers of Standard VIII of Spicer Higher Sec. School. I was glad that it was over. No more observations sessions after this. No more following teachers into the classrooms. No more witnessing the computer teacher saying 'yeah' for the letter 'A'. No more blaring ears for the magical scale of the History teacher. But after all, did I gain anything from all the sessions? Yes, absolutely. I got to see how diplomatic the female teachers deal with the students' behaviors whenever they were caught misbehaving in the classroom. I also got to see how strong the male teachers reprimanding the misbehaving students especially with the boys. In short, I have done with the observations but there is one more thing I need these selected teachers to do. I want them to do a questionnaire in which they have to answer it and hand it back to me. Unfortunately, I understand very well that they do not have all the time in the world since once they go home they would rest or do some other businesses. But this is compulsory for them.

I also need to interview six students (three males and three females) from each class of Std VIII. They were selected randomly without seeing how bright they are or how bad they misbehaving in the class. No such thing like that. Ohh...too much work yaaa....anyways, it won't be long...this will soon over.....
